Shields

In Epimetheus, many of the items found in game will be crafted by players. Thus the start of the game begins with templates, materials, and artistic designs. This is all geared toward offering a creative outlet that allows the players to direct content while simultaneously offering ownership. It is the player-driven content that will help set our game apart from others.

I borrowed many of these designs from the web. To create images that I can work with, the ones downloaded were used as templates. Naming them was almost as fun as naming the cross-guard templates which can be found in 'Image A' on the Swords page.

The metals of Epimetheus are unique and colorful, producing some exuberant armaments. These armaments are testaments to the skill of generations of Smithies from all across Aborlon passing along their trade. From complex smelting techniques to laborious metal working skills these gorgeous pieces are nothing short of art, though with a deadly purpose.

Shields are the ally of nearly any infantrymen. The art of "Sword and Board" has been a staple military skill for thousands of years. While the style and shape of the shield has changed to better suite its wielder, they have remained a part of warfare since their inception.

Some of the most well known shields have played crucial roles is history. They seem to find their way into the hands of individuals who shift the strands of fate. Whether it is the superb craftsmanship or the well-balanced enchantments that imprints their likeness into the hearts and minds of bards and historians alike matters little. These relics have risen to the forefront of history on more than one occasion. These can be found listed in our Items of Lore page.
